Police On The Look Out For Suspect In Homicide At 3308 Eddy In Amarillo [PHOTO]

Officers were dispatched to an early morning stabbing, around 1:00am this morning, at 3308 Eddy Apt-H in Amarillo.  Upon arrival, a victim was found inside the apartment with stab wounds.  He was transferred to the hospital, where he later died.  The victim is identified as Perry Hooten, the suspect (pictured above) is Shawn Michael Hooten.  Amarillo Crime Stoppers are offering a reward to anyone that provides information that leads to the arrest of Shawn Michael Hooten.

The victim, identified as Perry Hooten, was transported to a local hospital where he died. Judge Bosquez ordered an autopsy. A murder warrant was issued for Shawn Michael Hooten, WM, 5-17-78. Anyone with information about this homicide is asked to call Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 374-4400 or the Special Crimes Unit at 378-9468.

On 8-19-13, APD officers were dispatched to 3308 Eddy, apt. 312H on a stabbing. When they arrived, they found a victim inside the apartment with what appeared to be stab wounds. The victim, identified as Perry Hooten, was transported to a local hospital where he died. Judge Bosquez ordered an autopsy. A murder warrant was issued for Shawn Michael Hooten, WM, 5-17-78. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Shawn Hooten is asked to call Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 374-4400 or the Special Crimes Unit at 378-9468. If your anonymous tip leads to the location and arrest of Shawn Hooten you may be eligible for a reward of up to $300."

If you have information that can get this murderer off our streets, you need to come forward.  Even though APD make no mention of it, the victim and the suspect share a last name.  This leads me to believe that they're family.  If this man would take the life of his own family member, he obviously has no compassion for any human life and must be removed from our city!

****UPDATE****  It was his own FATHER that he stabbed and killed!  WOW!  How could anyone do that to their own father?
