Odds are if you have lived in Amarillo and have been downtown, you have seen the Herring Hotel.  It is the old hotel that sits on 3rd street, between Buchanan and Taylor.   Back in the day it was a beautiful, top notch hotel.  Now 88 years later, it is a ghost of its old self.  However, some really amazing photographers have brought it back to life.

Some lucky (and likely wealthy) little monster shelled out $30,000 for the naked sketch of Lady Gaga that crooner (and Gaga’s ‘The Lady is a Tramp’ duet partner) Tony Bennett crafted, according to GossipCop. The charcoal sketch, which Bennett drew as part of the Mother Monster’s January 2012 cover of Vanity Fair, was up for auction for charity via eBay.

To help market the new Picanto, the smallest car in its fleet, auto manufacturer Kia put together a stop-motion animation film — on fingernails. The project took 1,200 bottles of nail polish and 900 artificial nails. Artists spent two hours painting each one, working around the clock for 25 days straight to create the world’s first nail art animation.
