If you haven’t seen M. Night Shyamalan’s Split by now, you probably ought to skip this until you have. But you’ve also probably already heard most of the discourse around that movie and its upcoming sequel, which means you probably already know that Split is actually something of a sequel to Shyamalan’s 2000 movie Unbreakable, and Glass is something of a sequel to both. Which is why it should come as no surprise that two more Unbreakable characters are being added to the mix in Glass.

Sarah Paulson will star in ‘Glass,’ M. Night Shyamalan’s follow-up to ‘Split’ and ‘Unbreakable,’ according to the writer-director himself. She joins the already-announced James McAvoy, Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson, who all played central roles in the previous two films.

M. Night Shyamalan’s Split was a welcome surprise at the movie theater this year for two reasons: the first being (spoiler alert) it’s actually set in the same universe as Shyamalan’s fantastic superhero movie Unbreakable, and the second being that it was made on a crazy-low budget. $9 million became $275 million at the box office, paving the road to a sequel, titled Glass, which was announced by Universal last month. M. Night Shyamalan is back, baby!
