How Sinful Is Texas? You Won’t Believe The Results.
There are a lot of different things Texas is. We are labeled as a cowboy state, which in most places is the furthest thing from the truth. Sure, there's some places that are, but as a state? Nah.
Other things Texas can be labeled as are best place to live, worst place to live, and weird among other things. But this...this is NOT something I would've expected to see Texas labeled as.

So What Is Our New Label In Texas
Brace yourself, because you aren't going to believe me when I tell you. Texas has been labeled as one of the top five most sinful states in the union according to a WalletHub study.
Yes, sinful. Now, there are many things that could be considered sinful, so let's break down how we got here.
Greed Is Considered A Sin
The good news here, is Texas is not a greedy state, and I would agree with that. People are actually very down to earth for the most part here and aren't driven solely by money or material things.
We want just enough, maybe a LITTLE extra, of anything and we are content. Unless it's toilet paper during a pandemic, then we tend to be a bit greedy. We checked in at number 42 out of 50 on the greed chart.
What About Anger And Hatred?
Yeah, that is something that is considered sinful. Having hatred towards a person or group, or a certain type of anger is very frowned upon and falls inside the sin category.
Thankfully, we don't have a whole lot of anger and hatred here despite what people may say about us. We checked in at number 36 on that list, so in the bottom half. I'd personally like to see us get even lower than that, but 36 isn't terrible.
Excesses & Vices? They're Different Than Greed
Greed is all about wanting it all, and then some. Excesses? Well, that's just wanting a bit more than you need. Vices? We all have them, but do we have a plethora or them?
Good news is we don't have a HUGE amount, but we're starting to toe the line here. Checking in at number 30 tells me we do have probably more vices than we should have, and maybe there's certain things we want in excess. I have a feeling it's tacos we want in excess.
There's two left, and they might be the most shocking ones. Let's dive in.
We Are Definitely The Jealous Type
I'll be honest, but this is one of the ones I'd trade out for let's say greed. Texas is one of the most jealous states in the United States, and it could be jealousy over a lot of things.
We checked in at number SIX on this list. What are we so jealous about? Well, it could be a myriad of different things. Maybe how big someone's house is compared to your own, or how rough and tough their truck is next to yours. Maybe it's jealousy of how long it's been since the Dallas Cowboys last won a Super Bowl. Who knows.
However, I don't think any of those are the reasons we're so high on the jealousy list.
Ooooh, Lust...
Here's our issue when it comes to jealousy. We lust way too much for our own good. Now, I can see how we can do that. Texas is full of a lot of good looking people, and it's hard to keep your eyes of people at times.
Still, being ranked at number one when it comes to lust is going to lead to a lot of jealousy, and with jealousy comes a lot of things the police don't want. So, maybe kick the lust factor down a bit, because I was sure Vegas would've been number one for that.
