Texas Student Commits Suicide In Fear Of Not Getting Into College Because Of His Immigration Status

18 year old Mission, Texas student Joaquin Luna was a senior at Juarez Lincoln High School and had big dreams of being an engineer and attending college. Joaquin had big plans for him and his family and was dedicated to school. Joaquin worked hard in school so he can be eligible for the  "Dream Act" .

Dream Act:

"This bill would provide conditional permanent residency to certain illegal aliens of good moral character who graduate from US high schools, arrived in the US as minors, and lived in the country continuously for at least five years prior to the bill's enactment. If they were to complete two years in the military or two years at a four year institution of higher learning, they would obtain temporary residency for a six year period."

After finding out that the "Dream Act" bill was not gonna pass he felt hopeless. Last Friday at about 9pm he put his black suit on with a tie, kissed his family  and went to the bathroom and shot himself with a small handgun. As soon as the family heard the popping sound the brother found him laying on the ground with a bullet hole to his head.This is very sad to hear.

Instead of this family planning graduation party for there son, there preparing funeral services for the Luna family. It breaks my heart always when I hear parents planning a funeral for there kids!
