I am just as upset about this as you are...

I mean it is a serious part of Christmas right!? The cookies are in the oven, the dishes need to be done and there is some cookie dough left in the bowl that is just screaming to be eaten right!?

Or more honestly... you barely make it putting the cookies into the oven because you have eaten a large majority of your Christmas cookie dough. Whatever category you fall into the CDC is warning agents eating cookie dough this Holiday season.

The potential problem lays within two main ingredients.

1.) Raw flour can be contaminated with Escherichia coli (E. coli),

2.) Raw eggs have been a known carrier of salmonella bacteria.

Both of this bacteria are killed in the baking process but either way... this makes me very sad. The delicious isn't worth the sickness.

You may be reading this and thinking to your self "wow, this is dramatic". But there is one woman who is believed to have died from eating raw cookie dough so, in my opinion, it is better safe than sorry.
