She hasn't been Princess for very long, but Kate Middleton has already started changing the world one child at a time.  Last week she helped make 6 year old Diamond Marshall's dream come true.

Six year old Diamond Marshall has been through so much in her short time here on Earth.  At just 18 months old, she lost her mother Memory Marshall to cancer.  And just this past February, Diamond was diagnosed with stage four cancer.  It is labeled as undifferentiated sarcoma.  It is a rare childhood cancer that affects the body's soft tissue.

Since February, she has gone through surgery, been in and out of the hospital, and lost all her hair due to chemotherapy treatments.  The outlook is bleak.  So given her wish, Diamond would like to spend the day with Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty.

Unfortunately she is unable to travel to Disneyland at this time.  So when her father found out that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were going to be in Calgary Canada, he immediately wrote to the Children's  Wish foundation of Canada.  Diamond herself even wrote a letter to Kate.

Under top secret instructions, little Diamond was chosen to give the Princess a bouquet of flowers when she landed in Calgary, Canada.  Well instead of just handing the flowers to the Duchess, Diamond threw herself into Kate's arms for a hug.  Not only was the hug well received, but Prince William joined Kate in taking a few minutes to talk to the little girl.

Not only did she present Kate with the bouquet, but she also gave her a heart shaped trinket box that contained a friendship bracelet that Diamond made herself.

When asked about the meeting, Diamond said:

'She told me she liked the flowers a lot.  She was as fancy as she looks on the TV.'

The Duchess sure left an impression on this little girl.  We wish Diamond all the best and hope for a full recovery.
