I love just typing in the start of random things into Google's search bar and seeing what pops up for the top results it wants to auto-fill.  Today, I caught myself pondering as to why someone would say they're going to do something, but don't follow through with it, especially repeatedly.  I wondered how alone I was in this question, which it turns out it's not one of the top results.  However, the top "why do people" searches in Google are actually all valid and I completely understand why they're at the top!

Taking the top spot is "why do people cyberbully", which is a great question!  I'll share the results of that, but first have a look at the top auto-fill searches on Google for the posed question...the very last one I kind of expected...

So for cyberbullying, or being an e-thug as I call it, there's a pretty good summary that comes up courtesy of Stop Cyberbullying (dot org, not com).

"When it comes to cyberbullying, they are often motivated by anger, revenge or frustration. Sometimes they do it for entertainment or because they are bored and have too much time on their hands and too many tech toys available to them. Many do it for laughs or to get a reaction."

This is all true, I myself would like to add in some cases, cyberbullying is done by cowards that want to look tough online.  Revenge and anger definitely give someone the motivation needed to cyberbully.  Hey, if you're trying to get revenge on someone, a word of advice.  Don't cyberbully them, because the best revenge is living well.  Wanna get revenge on someone?  No need to be ugly, just make sure every time they see you, they see just how good you're doing and how awesome your life is.  That will drive a person crazy!  Trust me, personal experience has proved this time and time again.

As far as the very last result, "why do people cheat", the reasons are endless and it's best not to drive yourself crazy trying to answer the question.  If you've been cheated or are being cheated on, it doesn't make you any less of a person, it does not define you.  All it does is proves that the person cheating on you was a mistake, which we all make mistakes.  It's best to move on because you're better off without them and they don't deserve you =)  Cheaters never win, and winners never cheat...
