Tornado Survivor From Moore, Oklahoma Writes Kiss Fm A Letter

Back in May Moore, Oklahoma was hit with a F5 tornado. The tornado covered almost 2 miles wide and destroyed many homes. The town of Moore was devastated and half of the town was destroyed with many innocent lives taken. Our hearts went out to all the victims and survivors who were affected!

Kiss Fm and all of our listeners came together and collected many items from blankets, dog food, baby diapers, and etc. were donated to the city of Moore.

With the help of Absolute Lawn care and On the Spot Mobile detail helped delivered the trailers filled with items. We met many great people who were very appreciated with the items Amarillo donated.

With all the people we met I never thought I'd hear from anyone back till I opened an email sent from someone I met on our trip to Moore, Oklahoma.

Hi, My name is Lynda and I lived in Moore,OK when the May 20,2013 came through and took our houses. We lost everything and was told to go to the church for clothing, towels, blankets, and ect... While at the church we met you and your crew that were there dropping off truckloads of items to help Tornado victims such as myself.
Everything was such a blurr and I think I was lost in my own thoughts as to what to do next. When you came and offered us to go in the truck and get what we needed... We were able to get a couple of sleeping bags,towels,bubbles for my granddaughter, and more. My two sons lost their houses as well from the Tornado. In my immediate family we lost three houses, six cars, a motorcycle, and one family pet..
The sleeping bags were great as they came in handy when we needed a place to sleep until we got beds.

This really made me smile when I read this, but I do not like taking credit for anything, I give all the credit to all of the Kiss FM listeners that helped out many families affected from the tornado that hit Moore, Oklahoma. This is why I love RADIO and chose this as my career because of things like this!
