11 Urban Legends Of The Texas Panhandle That Will Chill Your Bones
Amarillo is full of old tales, ghost towns, and history. With Route 66 right in our backyard, it's kind of natural to have many different tales.
However, urban legends are an entirely different thing, and we have quite a few of them here in the Texas Panhandle.

The Chilling Nat
If you live in Amarillo, you know all about the Nat and its creepy tales. If you go inside the ballroom, you can just feel those areas that chill you to the bone...literally.
What about the phantom train of Canadian? People swear they can still hear trains whistling and traveling on tracks that have been abandoned a long time ago.
Tascosa's Terrifying Past
These are the stories you tell at Halloween, or when you're out camping in the backwoods of the Texas Panhandle. Imagine holding the flashlight up to your face as you tell the story of the Tascosa hauntings.

There are many different urban legends of the area, and some of them you may have never heard of. That's what this is all about. To relive some of the ones you already know about, and tell you about some you may have never heard of.
From the Lady of Lobo to the phantom hitchhiker, they're all here. Now, there may be even more that aren't listed here, and I'd love to hear about what they are. Only living in the area for four years, I know I haven't heard them all.
