We Certainly Don’t Have a Ketchup Shortage in Amarillo
There are a few things that irk me about picking up food from a fast food place. I mean they are convenient, of course. Unless you want ice cream at McDonalds, am I right? They are pretty good about getting my order right.
Except that one time I don't have a chance to check. That inevitably is the time something is left out. It only irks me if I ask for sauce. Like my love for Hot Mustard and they charge me extra to get it. When they forget that. Yes, I get upset about that.
I don't understand the love for ketchup, though. I don't like it. I know several people who do. I get it. You hate life. I kid. I just know that whenever I grab my bag from the window I inevitably have a handful of ketchup.
Why So Much Ketchup?
It's nice to know there is no shortage of the condiment. I even say no ketchup. I have given up on the fact that if I ask for a burger with no ketchup that they will assume I don't want any ketchup in the bag either. So I start specifically saying no ketchup at all. On burger or in bag.
I did go through and picked up food at the window the other day. I pleaded with my usual no mayo or ketchup on the burger. I even did say I don't need any ketchup at all. I stated that.

Of course this was in my bag when I got home:
Not only did I get ketchup but I got enough to feed a starving country. I guess the good news is there is no shortage of ketchup in Amarillo. I just always feel bad taking all that ketchup and tossing it in the trash.
It seems like such a waste. So please stop giving me ketchup. Please.
