When I was growing up, I LOVED dessert. Sweet, rich, creamy, didn't matter. If it was a treat, I wanted it. As I've gotten older, I've noticed my taste buds don't scream for it as much. Cheesecake, tiramisu...and ice cream. Ohhhhh ice cream.

When I moved to Amarillo, the first thing I was excited about was Braum's. I know, sounds crazy. You see, my first experience with Braum's was back in 2003 when I moved to Tulsa. There was one literally a minute from my apartment. I went in there more than I can even tell you. Then I moved to Colorado for 8 1/2 years and Austin for 7 1/2 years. No Braum's for 16 years, can you believe it?

Now that we've been reunited, I've gone in numerous times and tried a different flavor each time. Everything I've had has been great, but it begs the question...what is really the BEST flavor at Braum's?

Anytime you had a liquor to a dessert, it seems to be a top choice. I don't know if it's because it makes you think you're enjoying a cocktail with dessert or what, but just that hint of it brings out something magical. Blend it with my favorite fruit flavor (yes, I'm a cherry guy), add a little crunch with some almonds and you walk away with a truly perfect scoop of goodness.

Here is my favorite flavor of all time, the classic mint chocolate chip. However, I think Braum's has absolutely nailed the flavor of it. A lot of mint chocolate chip ice cream will only give you a hint of that minty flavor, but at Braum's, they make sure it's the highlight. Couple it with chocolate shavings rather than the chunks that get stuck in your teeth and it's an absolute go to for me.

Remember when Snickers decided to branch out and start trying new things? They released the Peanut Butter Snickers bar...and I fell in love. I'm a peanut butter junkie and LOVE it in my ice cream. However, no one has dared to actually blend a Snickers bar in with peanut butter when it comes to ice cream. Braum's took that as a challenge, and when I tell you it's just like eating those little square candies but in ice cream form, I mean it.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter what I think is the best flavor. What do YOU think is the best one Braum's has to serve up? Vote below, because I need my next flavor to try.
