3 Year Old Ran Over By Minivan In Amarillo

Last night, a 3 year old suffered life threatening injuries after being ran over by a minivan.

Amarillo Globe News reports that Thursday night, a woman was driving her minivan with the toddler unrestrained in the back, and an additional, older child also in the back of the minivan.

The older child opened the door of the minivan while it was moving, and that's when the toddler fell out and was struck by the tires of the moving vehicle he was traveling in.

He suffered injuries to his hips and pelvis and was taken to North West Texas Hospital.
