8 Zero 1 Discount Store In Amarillo Robbed

Tis' the season for crooks to take what they don't deserve, because there are actually people out there that think crime does pay.  So Amarillo Police are on the look out for 2 suspects that I guess decided they didn't need to earn money the legal way, you know, a job, and robbed 8 Zero 1 Discount on Filmore in Amarillo.

Amarillo Police:

"On Sunday (11-24) evening at 8:14pm, officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of North Fillmore on an armed robbery that had just taken place. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the employee who stated that 2 male subjects entered the store with something covering their faces. One of the suspects pulled out a pistol and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk then took off running out the back of the store and the suspect that was armed followed the clerk and possibly fired a shot at the clerk. Officers were unable to locate any spent casing or any evidence of where the bullet struck. The suspects then took the entire cash register and left in a dark colored SUV. There is no further description of the suspects at this time."

The crime rate always increases during the holidays, which to me seems totally bass-ackwards!  The holidays are about love and family, not pulling out a gun and pointing it in an underpaid clerks face!

I feel so bad for clerks at convenience stores!  They make just over minimum wage, and their lives are literally in danger every single day they go to work!  I think clerks are some of the most underpaid and under appreciated workers in the world!  If you're a clerk, I salute you!  You are a soldier!
