Dogs are a lot like children, they depend on someone to feed them and care for them.  They need love and attention.  A 8 month old pit bull needs a new home after being seized in an animal cruelty case.

It seems that animal cruelty cases in the panhandle continue to rise.  Just Monday, more than 50 animals were taken for living in deplorable conditions including living around deceased animals.  Now another case has taken a puppy from it's home.

Jerome, an 8 month old pit bull was taken because of animal cruelty.  His owner beat and kicked him time and time again.  The poor puppy is now living at the Amarillo Panhandle Humane Society.

I don't understand why people get pets if they are not wanting to care for them and treat them how they deserve to be treated.  These animals are usually defenseless in these types of situations and have no voice.

If you are interested in giving Jerome a home, you can contact the Panhandle Humane Society at 373-1716.
