Could This Happen To You Or Me?
It can happen to anyone. Be careful what you sign up for online and the info you give. That info, more than likely, is being gathered by one company to sell to other companies who call, text, and email you.
Another way it can happen is a data breach somewhere. Your information is stored on a server somewhere, and if that gets breached, it could wind up being sold. One company takes it and then sells it to other companies. Before long, your email inbox is destroyed with junk mail.
Then, there's always the possibility it could have been a disgruntled employee.
However, it happened, spread the word. Amarillo-Panhandle Humane Society isn't selling and doesn't need new insurance.
