Amarillo Road Construction To Cause Lane Closures & Delays In May 2013 On SW 46th

Well, it's not really "road construction", it's actually a water main line being replaced by the city of Amarillo Utility Department that will cause possible delays and lane closures on SW 46th Ave. in Amarillo for the rest of May 2013.

They'll be replacing the water main line in the alley between Crockett and Bowie on 46th, and expect minor (I would say even to major) delays over the next few weeks as some lanes will need to be blocked off while the contracted crew gets the job done.

City of Amarillo:

"The work will normally take place between 7:00a and 7:00p, Monday through Friday. Motorists are advised to use caution and expect minor delays. We would like to thank residents and motorists in advance for their patience and understanding. Everything is expected to be finished by May 31st, 2013 according to the official release from the city of Amarillo.
