Free is one of the best words in the English language, especially when it comes to back to school.  If you are needing help with school supplies, stop by Kidsfest 2015 for free supplies.

Back to school time is always a strain on the wallet, especially if you have more than one kid.  Well each year for the past nine years America's Promise has held KidsFest to help out with school supplies and vaccinations.

This year Kidsfest will be held at the Amarillo Civic Center North, South Exhibit Halls and the Regency Room.  They will be offering tons of different things.  Not only will there be games, snacks, and entertainment for the kids, but they will be giving out free backpacks, paper, pencils and a whole lot more.

Parents will also have a chance to get their kids vaccinated for free.  You must bring your child's shot records with you.

This is a great event for families of all sizes.  Just a little way to help ease the stress of back to school shopping.  The event happens Saturday, August 8th and begins at 8 am and will last until noon, so get there early.

Kidsfest is held to give kids America's 4 Promises:

Caring Adults – every child needs on-going relationships with caring adults

Safe Places – every child needs safe places with structured activities during non-school hours

Healthy Start – every child needs a healthy start in life with a healthy future

Marketable Skills – every child needs to develop marketable skills through effective education

Opportunities to Serve – every child needs to be given the opportunity to volunteer and give back to the community
