As we get ready to kick off the school year here in Amarillo (next week), teachers are busy getting ready. If you're looking for a way to help out your student's teacher, why take a look at their Amazon list?

What is a Teacher Wish List

Wish lists on Amazon for teachers are nothing new. It's a great way to help out the individuals who will be instructing our children this year.

That help is well deserved. Compensation for teachers has been a hot button issue the past couple of years. In that time, those of us who were unaware, discovered that teachers pay for some supplies and classroom items out of pocket.

To help offset that cost, teachers have been able to use Amazon lists to build a kind of wish list for their classroom. The lists are still there, but this year they seem a little bit more elusive.

How To Find Your Teacher's List

Once upon a time, you were able to search for lists on Amazon. Now, a person has to personally share their list with you before you can make purchases.

This adds a couple of steps to the process, but you can still help your teacher out.

If you haven't received any information about an Amazon list for your teacher, reach out to them and see if they have one. Have them send the link to you.

You can also go to your Amazon account and look at your lists. There will be a tab that says "friends." Use that to send a request to your teacher to see their list.

Also, check social media pages for schools and communities. Around this time of year there is usually at least one thread where teachers are allowed to share their Amazon list links.
