Another Holiday and Another Homicide in Amarillo
Why is it that a holiday brings out the best in people? The very best that they have to get into it and someone ends up dead.
Another homicide took place in Amarillo on Mother's Day. This marks the 10th homicide in Amarillo since the beginning of the year. So yay Amarillo, we are averaging about 2 per month.
But why? Why does life mean so little to people these days? A life was taken? Now, why was it taken? Who knows. Someone probably offended someone, but who really knows.
Let me take a step off my soapbox and give you the details of what happened on a day that was meant to honor mothers.
The Amarillo Police Department was called out to a shooting on Sunday, May 8th at 5:51 pm.
