Hey there, Rick Andrews here. I thought I would give you a little background about me. I was born and raised in Bangor, Maine and was bitten by the radio "bug" since the age of 7. By the time I was 14 years old I got my dream job and "cracked the mic" for the first time and have never looked back. My career has taken me from Maine, New York, California and New Mexico. Rick has been described as a "walking encyclopedia" of music info and trivia. When not on the air at Mix 94.1, I enjoy reading entertainment Biographies, Sci-Fi and management books. I also enjoy sketching, painting, drawing and practicing card & coin magic. You usually can find me on the air Monday through Friday from 3pm-7pm.

As we approach Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday (1/20), it reminded me about songs that are played on the radio about celebrities who are no longer with us.

I've always been a fan of countdown and remember every Saturday morning from 6am-10am I would turn on my radio and listen to Casey Kasem 'count em down.'
That got me thinking, I should track down the songs that ranked at #1 going into the brand

When it was originally released in 1939 it wasn't an immediate box office blockbuster, but over time and because of the yearly TV airings beginning in the 1970s it went on to take it's place as one of the most beloved films of all time.
