Beyonce Postpones ‘Formation World Tour’ Date For Vocal Rest
What's worse, East Coast: Looking disappointed or frustrated?
New York and New Jersey Beyhive members received some sad news on Monday, September 5, when Beyonce announced that she has postponed her September 7 Formation World Tour concert at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The postponement is due to a doctor's recommendation that the "Hold Up" singer give her 2016 MTV Video Music Award-winning voice a rest.
"As a result of strict doctor’s orders for vocal rest, Beyonce's highly anticipated New York city area Formation World Tour date in E. Rutherford previously scheduled for this Wed. September 7th at MetLife Stadium has been postponed until Friday, October 7th," reads a message posted to the stadium’s website.
Thankfully, the statement adds, fans' original tickets will be honored at the rescheduled show, or can be refunded at the original point of purchase. The remainder of the performer's upcoming tour dates, including stops in Los Angeles, California, Atlanta, Georgia and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, are "expected to proceed as scheduled."
