This year has been a tough one for event organizers. Even with restrictions being lifted, somewhat, many events are still being canceled or postponed. It's honestly not even shocking or unexpected anymore when someone cancels or postpones an event.

Today, Yellow City Comic Convention made an announcement regarding the fate of this year's convention. The organizers have decided to all together cancel this year's event.

Earlier this afternoon, YC3 published the announcement on their Facebook page. They do lead off with some good news, though. It has been rescheduled for 2021.

They also mentioned that they are working hard to make sure the guests lined up for this year are able to attend next year.

It's a somber reminder that we're still no where near "back to normal." As restaurants, tattoo shops, salons, bars, and stores opened back up there is still all of the restrictions placed on these places in order to operate that they have to abide by.

The restrictions are manageable for some, but when it comes to bigger events it gets trickier. As YC3 points out in their post, the restrictions and guidelines would have caused the event to be less than what attendees and organizers have come to expect.
