Neighbors Helping Neighbors 7H Cook-Off

Neighbors Helping Neighbors 7H in Panhandle, TX is hosting a cook-off! All the cooking teams will start Friday, October 7th at 6pm and everyone is invited out Saturday for all the fun. Doors open at noon and will be held at the neighbors 7H arena, 713 County Road L in Panhandle. It will only cost $5 to get a wristband to enjoy the food. There will be chicken, ribs and all kinds of good barbecue. It is B.Y.O.B. and alcohol is allowed, but no glass bottles. Good food and a good cause.

Star Gazing In Palo Duro Canyon

This is totally cool! Do you love watching the stars, or trying to find the planets? Well, this is the perfect event for you! Partners in Palo Duro Canyon is hosting a "Star Party" at Palo Duro State Park this Saturday night from 8-9:30 p.m. The event will be at the parking area next to the visitor center. The parking lot will be cleared and several telescopes will be in place to help everyone get a good view or you can bring your own. The only fee you'll have to pay is the state park entry fee of $5 per person.

 

Kat's 3rd Annual Fundraiser Party

This Saturday October 8th at John stiff park from noon to 5pm. The Texas Panhandle Pets Petsavers are holding a dog adoption party. Helping find homes for our four legged friends. They will have over 30 dogs and puppies to chose and adopt. It is open free to the public with lunch and baked goods for sale. Monterey toy and dog food donations are encouraged.

The Hiking Dead

This Saturday from 6pm till 8pm at Palo Duro Canyon, they are hosting “The Hiking Dead” A zombie survival hike! Here’s your chance to learn how to survive a zombie apocalypse just in case the dead decided they wanted your brain for tonight’s menu! Survival games are going to be played throughout hiking the trails to see if u have the ability to survive the zombie apocalypse! All you do is pay the parks entry fee for $5 per adult and children 12 & under are free; the actual program is free as well!
