Teacher’s Dark Secret: Shocking Arrest in Texas School Unveiled

Sadly it seems these types of stories are growing in Texas at an alarming rate, but this one has a bit of a different twist to it. Truthfully, this one hits a bit close to home for me considering I have a fifth grader in my house.

The majority of stories we hear about when it comes to this sort of thing is an improper relationship between a teacher and a student, and it's typically with a high school student.

As mentioned above though, this happened at an elementary school in the Austin area, and it makes me start to question our education system as a whole. Now, I get that it's impossible to know about these sorts of things with people unless they have a record, conviction, or accusation.

That's why there are so many that slip through the cracks. You never know until you know. A fifth grade teacher at Baranoff Elementary School has been arrested on child porn charges.

Carl David Innmon was a first year teacher at the school, and has now been charged with having over 50 depictions or video of child pornography. When the school was informed of the investigation on Monday, they immediately suspended him.

According to Baranoff Principal Alex Hassett in a letter sent to parents, he hasn't been on campus since Monday.

What we don't know at this point is if any of the images or videos are of children that were in his classroom, the investigation into that is still ongoing. Innmon is currently being held at Travis County Jail with bail set at $75,000.
