Texans have another chance to decide our state government. The Uniform Election this year will take place on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. Last day to register to vote is October 10. Early voting begins October 23 for Constitutional Amendment Election!

To vote in Texas, you must be registered to vote. Simply pick up a voter registration application, fill it out, and mail it in at least 30 days before the election date. Your application must be received in the Voter Registrar’s office or postmarked at least 30 days before an election for you to be eligible to vote in the election you want to participate in.

All voters who register to vote in Texas must provide a valid Texas driver’s license number or personal identification number issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS). If you don’t have such a number, simply provide the last four digits of your social security number. If you don’t have a social security number, you need to state that fact.
