If you have ever had the opportunity to go and see the hot air balloon festival in Albuquerque, New Mexico, then you know what an amazing site these balloons are.  While it's not as big an event as Albuquerque, the Don Harrington Discovery Center is hosting Balloon Glow this Saturday.

The Don Harrington Discovery Center is always a good choice for family fun.  This Saturday, they are offering a special evening for the entire family, the Balloon Glow.

They will be welcoming several hot air balloons coming straight from the Albuquerque balloon festival.  Beginning around 6:00p.m. the community is invited to come and see the balloons up close.  You can visit with the pilots and watch as they inflate about 8 balloons at dusk.

The balloons will be outside the DHDC and is free to the public.  The same night, the DHDC is offering a discounted admission into the science center.  It will be free to members and only $3.50 for non-members.

There will also be live music by the Prairie Dogs, kid's games and fun.
And no festival is complete without food booths.

It is a great event for the entire family.  Come out and you will get to witness an extraordinary glowing effect given off by the balloons.

The Balloon Glow is a Family Care Foundation event, not a DHDC event. More information about Balloon Glow and the activities planned outside can be found at familycarefdn.org.
