It’s National Donut Day! Check Out These Amarillo Hot Spots!

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and it can also be the tastiest. Especially when you start it with something sugary.

National Donut Day gives us all a reason to indulge in something full of that tasty sugar, and with so many great donut places in Amarillo, we can really enjoy this glorious day.

Donut Stop

Here's the OG of Amarillo donut joints. Opened up back in 1974, you can't go wrong with literally anything on the menu. There are however a couple of different donuts that stand out to me. They have a buttermilk log on the menu that I've never seen anywhere else in my life, but if you really want a different type of flavor, grab a cherry donut. SO GOOD!

Benjamin's Donuts & Bakery

A place that has a nice, wide array of options to choose from on the menu depending on your mood for the day. On National Donut Day however, you only need to look there. Everything they serve up is fresh and tasty, but if you really want a special treat, grab yourself one of their bear claws. Might be the best one I've ever had in my life.

House of Donuts

If it's a truly unique experience you're looking for, then House of Donuts is the place for you. They have taken creativity to a whole other level. Their specialty donuts are all over the top, and oh so good. If you want "healthy", the strawberries and cream donut comes with a slice of fresh strawberry on it. If it's pure sugar you're looking for though, better get on that Cookie Monster donut. Dressed up to look just like the character himself, with a chocolate chip cookie smashed right in the middle. Absolutely divine. Oh yeah, they're giving you a free glazed donut tonight with any purchase as well.
