Canyon Recently Lost Another Place to Eat on the Square

The restaurant business can be tough. If you don't have a following you are dead to the water. Sometimes even when you are busy all the time there are other things that contribute to your lack of success.

That is what seems to be the case for a restaurant in Canyon recently. Right before Christmas, the question was asked on social media about Canyon Steak Company - 410 15th Street.

There was one customer who tried to go and was greeted by a sign saying they were only open on certain days. OK, so they changed their hours, it happens. Then when they went back they were once again closed. They gave it a third try and that is when they were met with a sign that just said closed.

The question was what happened because this Canyon resident noticed that they seemed to always be busy. If you go to their location on Google Maps it just says the dreaded "permanently closed."

We hate to see any business lose their livelihood especially right around the holidays. It makes it really tough for the employees. It's also very frustrating when there is not any notice or announcement.

We really seem to love the chance to say goodbye. We love the opportunity to go one last time. That is not something that we were given the chance to do. They just up and closed.

From what I read they do still have a food truck so all hope may not be lost. I haven't seen much action on their Facebook page to see if they are still operating it. Hopefully, they are because we don't want to see any business go under especially when so many people enjoyed the restaurant.
