The One Amarillo Summer Memory You Need to Make This Year

I remember when I was growing up we would take our summer trips to Arizona to visit my aunt. She would try to find some fun summer activities that we did not have here in Amarillo. I remember her taking us to a water park for a movie night.

A movie at a pool? Two of my favorite things combined. My sister and I laid on a raft in the wave pool and watched a movie. It was the best. Something we did not have in Amarillo at the time.

Oh, but Amarillo has changed that is for sure. We do have a lot more opportunities than we did when I was growing up. Movies at the pool is a thing now. A thing you need to bring your family to do. I promise they will have a blast.

When I saw that Thompson Park was going to have a showing of Grown Ups I thought how perfect. A fun movie. A fun evening. Definitely, something that should be put on your family's to-do list this summer.

It's happening next month so plenty of time to maybe let your kiddos invite a friend. The more the merrier.

I love the fact that some of my summer memories are a fun thing that we can still do now. A movie at the pool is a lot of fun.
