With Amarillo's rapid growth and new businesses popping up everywhere, it is easy to overlook when a local business closes.

Picture a business sitting on a busy street just off the interstate. The sign once shouted in red, white, and blue letters that your home needed new flooring. Now, that once loud building sits quiet, with no cars out front.

From Busy Showroom to Empty Building

The sign is gone, with pieces of it on the ground, replaced by for-sale notices taped across the door. That is what has happened to Texas Carpet. The once-flourishing flooring shop is now empty.
