Marshalls Just Announced Its Amarillo Opening Date

In April 2025, we shared with you that Marshalls was moving into Amarillo and confirmed the rumor was true in December 2025. This popular department store would be joining its sister stores, TJ Maxx and HomeGoods.

Marshalls would soon be taking over the old Joann Fabrics building on Soncy. This store is going to be a great addition to Amarillo shopping.

Marshalls Sets a Grand Opening Date

We have a grand opening date! We reached out to Marshalls corporate and asked when the new store would be opening.

Our new Marshalls store in Amarillo, TX will celebrate its grand opening on September 3rd.

The Sign Is Up on Soncy

The sign went up on the building's front a few weeks ago. Marshalls also finally started to post job openings for the Amarillo store on the official TJX site.

Marshalls Now Hiring: Open Positions and Pay Rates

Current job postings for the Amarillo Marshalls store on the TJX site are:

• Retail Merchandise Associate - Which pays $13-$13.50 per hour
• Retail Sales Associate - Which pays $13-$13.50 per hour
• Retail Key Carrier Coordinator - Which pays $15-$15.50 per hour

It typically takes 4 to 6 weeks from hiring postings to the grand opening of the store and the opening date of September 3 fits that schedule.
