Two Texas Panhandle High Schools Top List for More Boring Schools

When it comes to high schools in the Texas Panhandle, most of the time we focus on sports like football, baseball, basketball, and volleyball. The high school years are formative for many students. They are full of experiences that shape who you become.

However, not all high schools are the same. Texas is full of high schools; some are enormous, while others are small. We ran across a TikTok video from geousadaily that ranked the 15 most boring high schools in Texas.

Most students would probably say their high school is the most boring, but that usually isn’t the case. The video doesn’t explain why these schools are considered boring. It simply runs down a list.

For the first time, Amarillo wasn't mentioned at all in this video, so it seems that Amarillo High, Tascosa, Palo Duro, Caprock, West Plains, and Randall were not considered boring. Unfortunately, two Texas Panhandle schools made the list.

Panhandle Schools That Made the List

Coming in at #15 is Canyon High School. Since it was at the bottom of the list, it technically wasn’t the most boring. Canyon High School is the home of the Eagles and has about 1,100 students enrolled.

Then, at #12, Pampa High School entered the list. The home of the Harvesters is considered one of Texas' most boring high schools. The school enrolls a little over 1,000 students in grades 9-12.

The only other nearby town on the list was Levelland High School in West Texas, which came in at #13.

The most boring high school in Texas is Friendswood High School near Houston.

What Makes a School “Boring” Anyway

What do you think makes a school boring? Lack of activities, entertainment, sports?  Even though these two Panhandle schools made the list, it doesn’t mean they are actually boring. Both schools are very active. It seems that in this particular case, the maker of this video just found some schools and started putting them in order.
