If you are looking for a great way to get exercise and help out an amazing cause, you need to check out the Heart Glo 5K Walk/Run.  It is all to benefit the Mended Little Hearts organization here in Amarillo.

Over 40,000 babies are born with congenital heart defects each year.  This is the most common birth defect in the US.  Mended Little Hearts was created to help the families of these babies.  It is often a confusing and emotional time, so they offer hope and support.

The amazing thing about this organization is that every person that works here is a volunteer.  So any money raised goes straight to the foundation not payroll.  You can help by joining in this fun walk!

Heart Glo isn't your normal 5K walk/run.  It is actually happening at night!  It takes place this Friday, May 16th at John Stiff Park.  Participants are encouraged to wear glow in the dark outfits, blinking lights and to be creative!

Registration is $25 and you can sign up at www.active.com or you can get to John Stiff park at 6p on Friday and get registered there.  It is going to be so much fun.  Get there early so you don't miss out on any of the fun.  A 5K at night!

And the best part about Heart Glo is that it all benefits a great cause.
