Very exciting for the city of Amarillo and these young men to start a new hockey team in our city. The Amarillo Big Texan Bulls are made up of 19 local high-school students from the pan-handle. This league is based out of New Mexico but they practice and play some of their games here in town.

Coach Austin Sutter told ProNews 7:

"These kids have been together since I can remember, since 8 or 9 years old, so it's pretty special to see them have an opportunity now and to do something special."

This is great to see these kids follow their dreams in hopes of maybe playing in the NHL. I can't wait to check out The Amarillo Big Texan Bulls in action at the civic center!
