Calling Amarillo Lego Fans! New Store Open Now Catering To Your Needs.
Amarillo isn't a place really known for its conventions and events. Sure, we have several gun shows per year, a knife show, and a collectibles show here and there, but outside of that, we stay inside our bubble it seems.
Earlier this year though, convention season kicked off with a bang. The first ever Lego convention was held at the convention center, and it was a smashing success.
Because of that, it got the brains turning of a few people. Were there really this many people in Amarillo who were into Lego's but had nowhere outside of Walmart, Target, and maybe a toy store or two to buy these sets to build?
What about those who just need some replacement pieces for projects they're working on or have already completed? Now THAT is something Amarillo doesn't have.
Until now.
A new store has opened up at 2626 SW 34th Ave. called 'Bricks & Minifigs' and it's all about Lego's. They have a location in Lubbock and they were actually setup at the Lego convention, so you probably saw them if you attended.
However, nothing like this existed in Amarillo. It's a place where you can get pieces you're missing, little figurines to complete or add to projects, and a whole lot more.
It's also a place that carries new AND older Lego sets that are difficult to find. They even buy and trade for sets, so if you're sitting on something rare, bring it in.
They're still under construction here, however, the doors are open during the construction, so it's a rare case of you don't have to wait for it to be fully built to enjoy it...just like your Lego sets.
You can check them out on Facebook for more info.
