Review: Get Ghosted at Amarillo’s Burger King for Halloween
I am a big fan of anything spicy. If you can melt my face then kudos to you. The spicier the better. So when I noticed the new whopper offered by Burger King I needed to give it a try.
Now I know in the age of warnings. People are not so smart so I know they really can't make things spicy enough to hurt my stomach. People are too worried about being sued even if in buying the item you know it's supposed to be hot.
Case in point lawsuits over a hot coffee. We all know that coffee is hot. But that doesn't stop the dumb people of the world. So knowing what you are buying is important. So if something is supposed to be hot I want it to be as spicy as it can.
Burger King released their Ghost Pepper Whopper for Halloween. I wanted to try it. So I did. I didn't expect too much out of it. I just wanted there to be some spice. I wanted it to taste spicier than a regular whopper.
That is really all I was hoping for it to be.
Did it Live Up to Expectations?
Ok, in the past I tried their Nightmare Burger. It was supposed to give me nightmares. Did it? No. So, I wasn't expecting too much.
This Ghost Pepper Whopper had bacon on it. It had Ghost Pepper Cheese. There were jalapenos and queso. It was tasty.
Was it hot? Surprisingly it was hotter than I expected. So this may be their gimmick burger for Halloween but it was pretty good. It is something I probably would try again. Apparently, there is also some Home of the Ghosts game you can play through today that gets you some deals on the burger.
So, try it out. It will be leaving the menu soon so I wouldn't wait.
