If you are a pet lover, then you should be happy to know that Amarillo's Animal Control is stepping up and trying to save animals! Today is national No-Kill Day at animal shelters. The goal is to save the lives of these precious pets.

So for 24 hrs no animals are going to be euthanized. Here in Amarillo it will happen from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Municipal Shelter at 3301 S. Osage. Amarillo has actually not euthanized any animal since Friday so that the public could have a good selection today.

And it gets even better! Anyone wanting to adopt a pet is going to be able to due so at a discounted price. For today only, the Amarillo Animal Control and the Amarillo Panhandle Humane Society are teaming up to let you adopt dogs and cats at half price. Amarillo has actually not euthanized any animal since Friday so that the public could have a good selection of animals today.

Dogs usually cost $85 but today you can adopt a furry animal for $42.50. Cats are normally $65 but today you can take them home for only $32.50. All adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccinations, and microchips. This is really a great deal!
