It's getting dangerous just to be alive anymore and this here is a sign of it.  A dispute between 2 guys not only led to the mother of one of them getting a gun pointed at her, but also led to shots being fired into a house that had AN INFANT IN IT!  Oh yes, a house with a baby inside had shots fired in it!  Now that is a 10 on the WTF-ometer!  So if you thought you heard firecrackers in the area of the 1400 block of N Highland in Amarillo, it was actually gunshots.  Thankfully, the suspects are in custody, and nobody was injured in the incident.

"On 11-26-13, at 11:09 AM, officers were sent to a home in the 1800 block of N. Mirror. A female complainant reported that a HM that she knows through her son had pointed a gun at her and threatened her. She was behind her home when the suspect drove up in the alley. The suspect got out of a car and pointed a handgun at her. Initial information indicates that the man was attempting to locate her son due to a dispute between them. The woman’s son was not there. The suspect drove away. As officers were investigating this complaint, they got a call of shots being fired at a home in the 1400 block of N. Highland. An adult male and an infant were in the living room of the home when it was hit by two bullets. The adult male was not the one being sought during the incident on N. Mirror, and that person was not in the home. At least one of two shots fired at the front of the home penetrated the interior living room wall. The victim told officers that he felt something strike or nearly strike his head, but sustained no injury. Officers located what appeared to be a spent bullet in the victim’s living room. They also found two fired .22 caliber cartridge cases in the street. Officers developed information that the suspect was in a white over brown Buick. At about 1:00 PM, an APD COPPS unit located the suspect vehicle at 740 N. Roberts. Officers made contact with people there. They transported two males from there to the police department. These two were identified as being involved in the assault on N. Mirror and the shooting on N. Highland. Investigators said that both men will be booked into the Potter County Detention Center. Their names will be released after they are booked."
