There is nothing like waking up to a good breakfast.  Usually one with bacon or sausage.  Well this morning be sure to inspect you sausage because the Smithfield Packing Company has issued a sausage recall.

The recall happened because of consumer complaints of pieces of plastic found in the sausage.  The plastic is most likely from gloves, but nonetheless nobody wants to eat plastic.  No injuries have been reported by the company has recalled 38,000 pounds of pork.

The recalled products are 1-pound packages of Gwaltney mild pork sausage roll with a use-by date of March 12, 2013.  They also have the case code 78533109741.  They were distributed in Texas,  Alabama, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
