It seems we've been hearing a lot about dead bodies in Amarillo lately. Just a couple of weeks ago we heard about authorities finding human remains in a building that burned down.

They're still investigating that one. Then just the other day a person was killed after a fight broke out in the city. Not sure why 2025 is starting off so rough, but it doesn't seem to be getting any better.

On the heels of all this, police were called out yesterday to an alley at Center and Alabama just shy of 3 pm. What they arrived on scene to find was rather harrowing.

Not only did they find a dead body there in the alley, they found the body of 65-year-old Elizabeth Ann Duckworth wrapped up in plastic.

Now, I don't want to say it's common for police to find a body somewhere, but it's definitely more common to just find someone deceased than it is to find them wrapped in plastic. That part of it is just strange.

Once authorities fond the body, they called out homicide investigators as well as CSI to survey the scene. The Justice of The Peace was also called out for an autopsy.

What would someone wrap a body in plastic for, and when did they do it? That's something investigators are having to try and figure out. Was the victim wrapped in plastic before they passed away? Was it done after to try and suppress the inevitable smell that comes with a dead body?

There are a lot of questions that will be asked in the coming days, and my guess is they'll be on the hunt for a suspect. Whether it's murder charges they'll be looking for, or simply finding out what happened is what we'll wait to find out.

Dangerous Texas Gangs And Their Rivals

The rise of gang culture in Texas has been a steady one

The more prevalent gangs are, the more likely the average citizen is to cross paths with affiliated members. As the population of Texas has increased in size and diversity, so have the gangs of the Lone Star state.

If you're not mixed up in organized crime shenanigans, then you're probably safe. But as the old adage goes, the more you know the better prepared you are.
