“Swatting” Becoming A Trend With Some Online Gamers [VIDEO]

Some online gamers are playing a hoax on local authorities around the country with a game called "Swatting." What is swatting?

Well, swatting is when video gamers try to trick the 9-1-1 dispatcher into a false report of an on-going critical incident of the video game they are playing. The online hoax initially was targeted just at celebrities has now become a way for players of combat-themed video games to retaliate against opponents while thousands of spectators watch. Not only is this very stupid and dangerous but its costing tax payers lots of money. A swatting happened back in April in Long Beach was estimated to be about $100,000, that's because they had to send more than 60 officers. Again, this a STUPID hoax that some video gamers are playing!
