New Years Eve

Welcome, 2014. As we said goodbye to 2013, a whole mess of our favorite celebs were Instagramming photos of their big night out, tweeting messages about the past and the future, all the while enjoying the present.

Of course we were anticipating what Miley Cyrus would do for her performance as part of the annual 'New Year's Rockin' Eve.' Since her name occupied many a 2013 headline, it was only right for the singer to close out the year with a performance in the Big Apple. Perhaps most shocking was how tame her performance was.

Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' was the biggest single of 2013 and was the singer's breakthrough song, thanks to its crazy catchy melody, sexy vibe and raunchy video. Thicke performed the song in Los Angeles and beamed into Ryan Seacrest's NYC-based 'New Year's Rockin' Eve' celebration.

New Year's Eve is the beginning of a new year.  We often get together with family or friends to toast and celebrate.  But what about the kiddos?  Well, the Don Harrington Discovery Center has them covered!

It seems that a massive undertaking like a New Year's Eve Special was a little more than independent, LA-based television station KDOC could handle. Really. It definitely was.

Today, New Years Eve, in Amarillo, TX, the Wells Fargo Bank at 2000 S. Washington was a victim of armed robbery.  Amarillo Police Officers were dispatched at approximately 12:40pm.

  I'm just thinking out loud here, but I think instead of sinking a ton of money into man power for "sobriety check points" and just all around increased police officers on the clock due to the overwhelming amount of drunk drivers on New Years Eve.  I think making an initiative to offer free taxi cab rides on New Years Eve in Amarillo would be a very good solution!  Would it stop it all?

It is time for 2012 to end.  A time for a fresh start.  This is the time of the year that most people vow to change something for the better, known better as New Year's Resolutions.

We're going to make a pretty huge statement right now ladies and gents, so brace yourselves: photobombing is hands down the best way to capture any sort of moment. Ruining a picture with that unexpectedly hilarious face or the addition of a random stranger in a photo simply adds that extra oomph needed to bring a picture to the next level. Plus, it's just funny stuff.

It's true the holidays are easily the greatest time of year, but it can also be the most exhausting. After so much preparation, it sort of feels like we want to nap for weeks.
