Amarillo Police Department has released information and have confirmed there is currently a standoff in east Amarillo near Caprock high-school.

A standoff with police lasted about 3 hours yesterday in Amarillo and finally ended with the suspect in handcuffs.  Amarillo Police officers, negotiators and SWAT all worked together to safely arrest the man without injuries to any neighbors or officers.  It started at 3:30pm and ended at 6:27pm.

Yesterday, it was pretty much all you heard about in Amarillo, the standoff with police and an armed man in the Puckett residential area.  Today, Amarillo Police release the name, and photograph of the suspect.

We just took a trip to see if for ourselves and even though the helicopter isn't hovering over the Puckett residential area of Amarillo anymore, the standoff with an armed man on the 3500 block of Carlton Drive continues.  The vast majority of the Puckett area is open, they have the main blocks surrounding the house that the man entered blocked off and access to those blocks will remain restricted

Apparently this guy is a few fries short of a happy meal because police were able to get a naked man who spent hours atop a downtown radio tower with McDonald's hamburgers..Haha
