This Week Is Teacher Appreciation Week

Every week day, we send our children to school to be looked after and taught by some amazing people.  It takes a special person to be able to handle a class room full of different tempers, moods, and silliness.  This week is your chance to say thank you!

The first time I dropped my son off at pre-k I had a ton of different emotions.  I was sad because this step meant he was growing up.  I was scared because I didn't know how he was going to be treated by everyone.  But with all the different emotions, I can honestly say I was not envious of the teachers.  They were going to be spending the day with 25 four year olds!

It takes a special person to devote their lives to taking care of and teaching our children.  Now granted some are better than others, they all have chosen this as their career of choice.

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week.  This is our chance to thank these teachers for giving their career to our children.  We can thank them for helping them learn the alphabet, algebra, science and so much more.

Teacher appreciation week always falls on the first full week in May.  This year it runs from May 6th to May 10th.  So take some time and do something nice for your kid's teacher.  Even it is a simple 'thank you.'  Just let them know they are appreciated!
