***UPDATE*** Amarillo – Homicide Victim At Luxury Inn & Suites Has Been Identified As Miranda Zimmerman

The body of the female found dead yesterday in room 229 of the Luxury Inn & Suites in Amarillo has been identified as 20 year old Miranda Zimmerman.  A sad story that Amarillo Police say is a result of foul play, and a man has been arrested for the murder of Miranda.

The same man that called in to 911 about Miranda was the man police arrested, 31 year old Matthew Zimmerman.  There has been no confirmation as to any relation between the suspect and the victim, but with them having the same last name, I'm starting to think this may have been a crime of passion, but that's just a guess on my part!

"UPDATE March 5, 2013 – Lt. Erick Bohannon, Special Crimes Unit:
Relatives of the homicide victim at 2915 I40E were notified of her death. She was identified as Miranda Zimmerman, age 20. Preliminary autopsy results indicated she died from blunt force trauma to the upper body"
