We're going to have a celebrity in our area tomorrow Amarillo and TX Panhandle residents!  His name is Snow, and I'm not a big fan of him.  Either way, brace yourself for the return of Winter tomorrow with 3-5 inches of snow expected!

Of course, keep your radio on 96.9 KISS-FM or listen live online for all traffic updates, any closings that may be happening, we'll have the crew in early morning to make sure you're getting all the information you need!  In the meantime, here's what we're being told to expect tomorrow.

The National Weather Service in Amarillo has issued a winter storm watch to begin Monday night as it tracks a cold front expected to drop temperatures into the 20s and dump up to 5 inches of snow across the Texas Panhandle as it tappers off Tuesday (tomorrow) afternoon.

In Amarillo, snow should start to fall a little after 12m tonight, and again, last through tomorrow afternoon with accumulation of 3-5 inches possible, temperatures in the high 20's to low 30's and winds 10-20mph.

So keep your radio on 96.9 KISS-FM just in case we see the worst and any highway closings or business/school closings and delays happen!

I've also found a pretty cool page called Winter Weather Center you can check out here online courtesy of the National Weather Service.  This page contains up to date information on the coming storm, phone numbers for road conditions, wind chill chart, and traffic web-cams for the vast majority of high traffic areas in Amarillo.
