There are only 59 days left until Christmas gets here.  Those 59 days are guaranteed to fly by.  Don't wait until the last minute, put a lay-a-way and pay as you go!

Lay-a-ways are not as common as they were when I was younger.  Coming from a family of five siblings and three cousins my mom always put lay-a-ways for school clothes and Christmas.  She was a single mom so lay-a-ways helped out a ton.

Well there are still a few store that allow you to put lay-a-ways for Christmas.  And this year, most of these stores are lowering the lay-a-way fee.  But you better hurry because the time will go by so fast between now and Christmas!

I called around to several stores here in Amarillo and only found three stores that are allowing Christmas lay-a-ways.  Here they are and the info that you need.  Happy shopping!

Toys R Us

Toys R Us is offering free layaway on all toys, including video game systems and swing sets at most of their stores.  You go in shop and decide what items you want to put or lay away.  Now some items are not eligible for lay-a-way so be sure to double check.

WalMart

Walmart is offering layaway on toys, electronics, small appliances, select sporting goods, and jewelry. The minimum total of the products must be $50, and a down payment of $10 or 10% (whichever is greater) must be paid upon starting layaway, along with an “open fee.” Wal-Mart recently announced that they would be changing their “open fee” from $15 to $5.  Their lay-a-way only lasts until December 14th so hurry!

Sears

Sears is a great place to Christmas shop and they are allowing you to put lay-a-ways!  There is only a $5 charge and you have until December 3rd.  At Sears you can find everything from clothing to tools to electronics to so much more.

These are the only places that I found doing Christmas lay-a-ways this year.  Do you know of any other stores doing lay-a-ways?
