– President Barack Obama told Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin the federal government “stands ready to provide all available assistance” as part of the response to a series of deadly storms that have struck the Oklahoma City area, including Monday’s devastating tornado.

A White House statement said the Federal Emergency Management Agency has deployed a team to assist state operations, and additional personnel are ready to be dispatched as necessary. Obama told Fallin that “the people of Oklahoma” are in the first family’s “thoughts and prayers,” the statement said.

Today at approximately 10:38am, the First Bank of Southwest located at 5701 SW 34th in Amarillo was robbed, for what I believe is the 2nd time this year!  I drove by just in time to snap some photos of Amarillo Police cars blocking the entrances to the bank, and that was a huge red flag to me that something had went down.  Even better, officials have actually released a video of the bank robbery in hopes to get help in locating the suspect.

Here’s the official release(s) from the APD:

“On 5-20-13, at 10:38 AM, officers were sent to the First Bank of the Southwest at 5701 SW 34^th on a robbery.  The suspect entered the front door of the bank carrying a brown cloth bag and a short-barreled shotgun.  When the suspect entered the bank, he immediately pointed the gun at bank employees behind the counter.  The suspect approached and climbed over a counter.  He took money from more than one drawer in the bank.   He then climbed back over the service counter and left the bank.  Surveillance video shows him running east from the front door.  A witness saw a light colored, possibly cream or gray older model Chevrolet Tahoe leaving the alley that runs east from Atkinsen Street on the east side of the bank right after the man fled.  That vehicle was driven by what may have been a Hispanic male with a pony tail.   This may be the suspect vehicle.  It was last seen in the area of 34^th and Kingston.   The suspect was described as a male in his 30’s, medium height and thin build.  From the surveillance photographs, it appears that he has a gray cloth completely covering his head and face, and is wearing sunglasses.  He was wearing a dark colored lightweight jacket with a lighter colored design on the front.  He was wearing light blue jeans.  He was carrying what appears to be a light brown to tan bag.  The bag may have been used to conceal the gun as he approached and carry away money afterwards.  There were no injuries and there have been no arrests.

***UPDATE***5-20-13, 4:50 PM:
APD Robbery investigators have released additional information on this case.  The robbery suspect ran across Atkinsen, into the alley, and toward where the possible suspect vehicle was seen.  The vehicle is described as a cream or tan in color late 1980’s or early 1990’s larger type Tahoe, Suburban, or similar SUV.  After the vehicle drove out of the alley, a witness saw it pull into the driveway of a home in the 3400 block of Kingston.  The driver stepped out.  He was described as a light-skinned Hispanic male in his mid to late 30’s, with long curly hair pulled into a pony tail, a mustache, and wearing a red shirt.  At this point it is not know why the vehicle stopped, but it is not connected to the residence.   The witness left the area and lost sight of the vehicle.  When the witness drove by again, the suspect vehicle was gone.  Investigators have released a video of robbery.  It can be found posted on the Amarillo Crime Stoppers web site, http://www.amarillo.crimestoppersweb.com/.”

The Billboard Music Awards is one of the most viewed award show viewed every year on TV. This is a time where artist performs some of the best songs of the year. Might I add it’s all LIVE on TV and whatever happens on TV it’s aired and can’t be taken back…With that being said R&B artist Miguel was invited to perform on stage to serenade all the ladies out there and also show off some of his moves. But 2 lucky women got to KISS his “Man Boots.”

The tornado swept through the city and is described as “catastrophic tornado moving through southern parts of the OKC metro”.

Shortly after 4:15 PM EST today, local news reported a massive and violent Moore tornado south of Oklahoma City currently. KOCO is reporting there is a “catastrophic tornado moving through southern parts of the OKC metro”. KOCO producer Elisea Smith reported spotting the activity moments ago. “Tornado at sw 149th and penn in sw OKC. I pray everyone has a safe place to go! Kids will be kept at school until further notice.” Michael Seiden is reporting closures as well. “Due to tornado warning, All OKCPS elementary and middle schools will not be dismissed until further notice.”

KOCO is advising residents to take shelter promptly. “If you live on the west side of Moore, Okla., you must be underground” it told news moments ago. Earlier at 2:57 PM local time the news station confirmed a tornado moving between “Penn and May on 149th”.

But roughly ten minutes ago, one resident spotted the tornado moving through West Monroe along 19th street. Now the station is confirming the same, reporting that the tornado has moved near 19th street as well. “Tornado about to cross SW 19th Street in Moore. 3:16 P.M. Must be in a tornado shelter now.”

The adorable fivesome changed in and out of various soccer jerseys and ran about the massive field playing what they call “football” on their side of the pond. They’re just as excited to watch the sport when they embark on their tours throughout Latin and South America.

Niall Horan gushed, We’re all big football fans. We would love to be in Brazil for the World Cup.”

This thief in Colombia thought he’d come up with a great way to steal a woman’s purse. And everything seems hunky dory for him until a big ol’ bus got in his way and mowed him down.

Amazingly, the thief only suffered minor injuries, proving karma may have turned its head when he made his getaway. And in further misplaced karma news, the woman he robbed was actually the one who pulled him to safety.

Now, that’s a forgiving woman.

An emotional Beyonce returned to the stage at Belgium’s Sportpaleis (May 15), despite being advised by her doctors to take the night off. She had canceled a show in Antwerp the night before (May 14) due to exhaustion and dehydration and she wasn’t about to disappoint fans two nights in a row — no way, no how. A true queen never lets her subjects down multiple times!

Fan-filmed footage from the show has landed online, and Bey was visibly emotional, dabbing at her eyes and throwing the white towel into the crowd, gifting a fan with a special memento with her DNA on it. That’s priceless.

She was about to launch into ‘Flaws and All,’ but she continued to address her adoring audience, saying, “I just have to say, I feel so good to be on the stage.” She said it with conviction. We believed her.

She finished, declaring, “I have the best fans in the world. Now my doctors told me not to perform. But there was no way in the world. I just have to say, that y’all give me so much inspiration. And I just want to thank you guys. This song is for all of the Beyhive. I love y’all.”

We love you, too, Bey!

Bey was beyond bummed and supremely apologetic about having to cancel in the first place, posting a note on her website explaining that she did not want to let her fans down and that it was hard for her to listen to the docs and nix the gig. She bravely and gamely soldiered on, taking the stage aka her throne the very next night.

She’s no mere mortal… she’s Beyonce! Learn it. Know it. Live it.

Richard “Dick” Trickle died Thursday at the age of 71. His body was discovered next to his pickup truck at a cemetery in Lincoln County, North Carolina, after the longtime NASCAR and short-track driver shot himself, according to police.

Trickle was retired from competitive racing and had been living in Lincoln County for some time. Around noon, the Lincoln County Communications Center received a phone call, saying that there would be a dead body at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Boger City. Soon after, authorities found his body.

Over the course of a career that began at age 17 in 1958, Trickle was a two-time American Speed Association champion (1984, 1985), he won seven ARTGO championships, and he took the 1968 USAC Stock Car Rookie of the Year and the 1989 NASCAR Winston Cup Series Rookie of the Year.

Trickle became quite famous for his name, becoming a repeated punch line on shows like ESPN’s ‘SportsCenter.’ And though he never had much success on the NASCAR circuit, that didn’t hurt his sense of humor. In 1997, he filmed a commercial for NAPA Auto Parts in which he predicted the winner of an upcoming race: “It’s gonna be me!” A graphic then flashed across the screen that read “Dick is 0 for 243 in Cup races.”

Trickle then smiled and said, “I think we get champagne!”

TNT’s alien action-drama ‘Falling Skies‘ won’t air its third season until Sunday June 9, but already the acclaimed series has made a major change in anticipation of a fourth season pickup. Season 2 and 3 showrunner Remi Aubuchon will step down from the series, tasking former ‘Battlestar Galactica’ and fellow ‘Caprica’ showrunner David Eick to take his place, but will anything change for ‘Falling Skies’ season 4? A few weeks from now ‘Falling Skies’ will start its third season on TNT, as Tom Mason (Noah Wyle) and the 2nd Mass continue their struggle against the Skitters and overlords alike, but already we’ve learned of a regime change in place for the fourth season. Via Deadline, it’s been revealed that ‘Battlestar Galactica’ producer David Eick will take over for former ‘Caprica’ partner Remi Aubuchon in advance of the fourth season.

‘Falling Skies’ has yet to receive a formal fourth season pickup from TNT, though the issue is considered a formality given the show’s success among younger demos, and production schedule that typically dictates writers begin scripting the season before a pickup.

Premiering June 9, the third season of TNT’s alien drama boasts former ’7th Heaven’ star Stephen Collins, who’s appearing as surviving US President Benjamin Hathaway, former ‘House‘ star Robert Sean Wilson as the previously unseen Charleston power-grid moderator Dr. Roger “The Rat King” Kadar, Doug Jones as the 2nd Mass’s new alien ally Cochise, and Noah Wyle’s former ‘E.R.’ co-star Gloria Reuben as Marina Perlata, member of the resistance and aide to Tom Mason.

This is the cutest thing I have ever seen! 4 year old Kai was a guest on the ‘Ellen’ show to serenade to Ellen herself. Kai gave Ellen a bracelet with his name on it and said he’s her boyfriend now. If that didn’t capture her heart I’m sure he did the job when he sang “When I was Your Man” by Bruno Mars to her. He definitely awwwww’d the crowd. Kai is very talented and has a bright future ahead of him!

After Kesha revealed that she and One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles text each other, the ‘Die Young’ songstress realized that she may have made a huge mistake. Why is that? She’s downright scared of One Direction fans!

The pop star told LOOK Magazine (via TVNZ), “I hope they don’t want to beat me up, I’m just a fan too.” Be still, Directioners! Kesha just idolizes Hazza like you guys! It came to light a month ago that K$ and Harry were texting each other though Kesha insists, “He and I are just friends. Actually we started texting a long time ago and we’re just friendly, it’s not sexy.” We think all Directioners just breathed a sigh of relief…

In addition to her friendly flirtations with Harry, Kesha also sang Beyonce‘s praises saying Queen Bey had a “perfect body.” She explained, “I think she might actually be perfect. I show my flaws — they’re real. I don’t have a perfect body. It’s important for girls to see that you don’t have to be perfect.” It seems as though K-Dollar Sign is looking to inspire her Animals in every aspect of her career.

Demi Lovato has fought a lot of battles in her life, and she’s got some scars and songs to prove it. And now she’s got a tattoo to commemorate them!

Lovato got inked by tattooist to the stars, Bang Bang, etching “Now I’m a warrior” on her shoulder blade. It’s a lyric from her track ‘Warrior’ off of ‘Demi.’ The song is a defiant anthem about staying strong in the face of adversity.

It’s the latest in a slew of tattoos for Lovato, which range from her famous “Stay Strong” on her inner wrists, the phrases “Let Go” and “Let God,” a cross, a feather, birds, a pair of lips and several others.

The ‘Heart Attack’ singer has as much art as the MoMA on her bod, but she admits that not all of it is thought through beforehand. This weekend at Wango Tango, Lovato admitted, “Most of the time I don’t even plan it, it’s just very spontaneous and impulsive — and it’s not good!”

Rumors about Eminem‘s triumphant comeback to the music scene have been swirling for about a year now and now it looks as though Chris Rock is getting involved in Slim Shady’s latest musical endeavor.

Rock was pretty coy when asked about the picture by Fuse TV (via NME) saying, “Uh, I can’t really say. Hey, hey, I was on the Kanye [West] record – maybe I’m on the Eminem record. You never know.”

With Rock tweeting the photo of him the studio with Em, we have reason to believe that the ‘Without Me’ rapper will not be releasing any new material anytime soon, though Shady Records prez said it would be after Memorial Day this year. So that means his eighth studio LP will be out sometime between May 27 and the end of eternity.

Em will be touring in Europe this summer, so perhaps that’s when he’ll preview the new material, with Chris Rock or not. Dr. Dre even said that he and Eminem were “almost done” with the new LP back in March.

Maybe Chris is being so secretive about his visit with the rapper (though that studio picture surely didn’t help) because he and Em are cooking up a 21st-century retooling of ‘No Sex.’ We can dream, can’t we?!

Rap diva Nicki Minaj is one and done.

Sources close to the production claim that the controversial star will exit ‘American Idol‘ after Season 12 wraps tomorrow (May 16). She served on the judge’s panel for a season, famously clashing with Mariah Carey, who also sat on the panel for her first year.

With original judge Randy Jackson revealing that he is definitely bouncing, it’s rumored that Carey and Keith Urban, also a neophyte, will be moving on, too. They’ve not announced their future plans yet, since the Season 12 finale is this week. However, it’s pretty much a done deal for her Minajestry.

“It’s safe to say she isn’t coming back to ‘Idol,’” a source told Us, stating that the wig-loving vixen will instead be focusing on her next album, touring and endorsements. “She’s okay with it. She had a great time but was only going to do one season anyway,” the insider further stated.

That’s a contrast to her recent comments, claiming she was happy with the gig. Still, the season is experiencing record lows when it come to ratings, which indicates to producers that a shake up is required.

Where’s there’s smoke, there’s flame and here, it seems like a new ‘Idol’ look is on deck for Season 13 in 2014.

The tornadoes damaged areas three miles east of Granbury that have about 110 homes. The tornado was part of a system of severe thunderstorms that led to several tornadoes across North Texas and dropped large hail the size of grapefruit in some areas.

According to preliminary reports, there were 10 tornadoes in North Texas on Wednesday night. People searching for family members are asked to call 817-579-2888.

Good thing Christina Aguilera is coming back to ‘The Voice‘ next season, because the panel will be down one pint-sized, fiery blond superstar. Shakira confirmed that she won’t be returning for the NBC hit’s fifth season.

“I’m not going to be able to do next season because I have to get back to my motherhood and also get back to the studio, the recording studio, to finish my album, the one that I started working on before I had to deliver a baby and before I took this gig with ‘The Voice,’” Shakira told Us Weekly. “So yeah, I have to take a little break. But you never know, I might come back!”

She went on to TODAY.com (via Gossip Center) to say of her son, Milan, “He deserves a break, and that’s why I’m going to take a break for next season.”

So that makes three out of four of the original judges signed on for Season 5. What about Cee Lo Green? Carson Daly said he’s in talks to return as well, but nothing’s finalized yet.

“I don’t know. I think they are working on a deal to be honest with you, and I don’t think it has been finalized,” Daly revealed. “I don’t know the answer to that. It wouldn’t surprise me if it was, sooner or later. It sounded like today it was like, ‘Yeah, they are working on it,’ which, usually those things work out, but I don’t know.”

Not a shocker to hear rap artist “Nelly” combine hiphop and country together. It’s not the first time to do this. Years back Nelly hooked up with Tim McGraw as they collaborated in a song called “Over and Over” which became a summer hit back in 2004. Now Nelly is doing it again this time with a group called ‘Florida Georgia Line’ with a song called Cruise… Expected to be one of the top 10 summer songs for 2013. Wrestling has be increasing in popularity recently.  Even Spike TVs TNA has been seeing an increase in fans.  But it looks like one TNA wrestler is going to be facing a backlash for being inappropriate with a female announcer. 

This week, TNA handed Austin Aries, whose real name is Daniel Solwold, Jr., a hefty fine.  Earlier this month, female announcer Christy Hemme called Aries by the wrong name during his ring intro.

That is when he became upset and went off script.  He proceeded to the ring and confronted her.  He then climbed the ropes and put his crotch in her face.  She apparently became upset and even tweeted that it was ‘unacceptable.’

Sources say that Aries has personally reached out to apologize and admit that he crossed the line.  But that wasn’t good enough for TNA.  Nope, that slapped him with a fine.  The amount of the fine wasn’t revealed, but at least he got some kind of punishment.

As for Hemme, she is still announcing so she must be ok with it too.

Trouble in paradise — if you can describe their relationship like that — for Kimye. The latest rumor is that that Kanye West and baby mama Kim Kardashian will break up before their baby is born in early summer. Gasp! Oh, the humanity.

A friend of the reality show star expressed concerns that the couple won’t last and will have parted ways by the time their bundle o’ joy arrives.

“We just do not understand why she is traveling to Paris to see him, she is the pregnant one,” the worried friend said. “Kanye will fly in to see the editors of ‘Vogue,’ but he won’t fly in to see the lady carrying his child.”

That’s a contrast to recent reports that he flies in for her doctor’s visits via private jet. Still, they should be together during the gestation, shouldn’t they?

The source also said, “The only way they have a future is if Kim continues to do whatever he says.”

Sounds like a modern update on that whole “barefoot and pregnant” concept. ‘Ye’s being all ‘Heartless.’

Pals think Yeezy is being selfish by recording his new album abroad while Kimmy is babied up. He also reportedly blamed her for smashing his forehead into a street sign.

“He told her that she should have guided him out of the way,” another friend said. “He treats her like his assistant. She is putting up with it at the moment but eventually she will say enough!”

Hmm, drama, drama, drama with his baby mama.

At least we can congratulate Kim for maintaining this relationship for more than 72 days, which was the length of her last marriage.

Somewhere, Ray J. is having a chuckle, since, you know, he hit it first.
