Now we all know some women have really strange cravings during pregnancy, like pickles and ice cream.

Most of the time these only occur when you are pregnant and your baby daddy has to go out in the middle of the night to satisfy your cravings. It's pretty funny how pregnant women can go crazy for foods that they've always hated or consume weird combinations and it hits the spot.

But what about their other weird cravings?

Gurgle.com did a survey on 10 of the strangest non-food pregnancy cravings. According to the survey, women either crave the smell, texture, or, yes, taste of these items. Luckily, some of them are safe to eat. But if your baby mama says she's craving gasoline, she probably just wants to smell it! So don't mix her up a gasoline cocktail.

Here are 10 of the strangest non-food cravings pregnant women have.

  • 1

    Ice

Ice is one of those things that you can eat, but it also has a distinct smell that might be alluring to a pregnant woman.

  • 2

    Coal

Don't let your baby mama eat coal! She probably just wants to smell or feel it in her hands. Better yet, cook her up a steak on your charcoal grill!

  • 3

    Toothpaste

Who knew that brushing your teeth could be so fun? Turns out, some women love the smell and taste of toothpaste while they're pregnant.

  • 4

    Sponges

While most sponges don't have a smell, they definitely have a distinct texture that apparently drives some pregnant women crazy!

  • 5

    Mud

While mud is questionable edible, you should probably just stick to chocolate pudding. However, it's totally cool to let your baby mama stick her hands in some mud if that's what she's craving!

  • 6

    Chalk

You could turn this craving into something fun, like drawing pictures of your baby on the driveway in colorful chalk or keeping a running list of other weird cravings on a chalkboard.

  • 7

    Laundry Soap

This is obviously not one you want to sneak into your orange juice. However, laundry soap ALWAYS smells good. So good, in fact, that some pregnant women crave it!

  • 8

    Matches

As long as you don't light the baby's crib on fire, striking up a few matches to satisfy your craving for the smell of a burning match is totally fine.

  • 9

    Starch

This is another questionable one, since starch is in most of our food but can also be used in a chemical form. Better ask her before you try to satisfy this one!

  • 10

    Rubber

I personally hate the smell of burnt rubber, but maybe that's a pregnant woman's craving! Rubber is also an ingredient in most stress balls, so this could be a great way to relieve some of that pregnancy stress!
